Heritage Day

Live like your ancestors

Historical crafts come alive in a child's eyes as they experience Pioneer (circa 1870's) lifestyle, an era before internet & smartphones. Crafts include candle and doll making, blacksmithing, calligraphy, spinning and bead-making. Adults hear stories told by ancestors and throw tomahawk or knife. Rotary Club teaches how to hand press apple cider; Ol' Time Fiddlers provide music and food is available from Burney Lions Club. McArthur-Burney Falls State Park has a four to five star rating on Yelp, Trip Advisor and Google.
