Thanksgiving Interfaith Service
In honor of the life affirming generosity of Thanksgiving, The Shasta County Interfaith Forum presents the Thanksgiving Interfaith Service on Sunday, November 22nd, 7:00-8:30 PM, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 3410 Churn Creek Road, Redding, CA. The event will include music, an interfaith choir, inspirational readings, prayers and reflections from a variety of faith traditions as represented by the members of the forum. Refreshments will be served immediately following the service provided by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Donations gathered at the celebration will be split between the HIV Food Bank and the Redding Homeless Day Resource Center. Member organizations and those presenting this event for the Shasta County Interfaith Forum include: All Saints Episcopal Church, Baha’i Faith, Buddhists-River Oak Sangha, Center for Spiritual Living, First Christian Church Disciples of Christ, First United Methodist Church, International Centers for Spiritual Living, Islamic Center of Redding, Native American Traditions, Pilgrim Congregational United Church of Christ, Redding Friends Meeting, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, The Sikh Centre, Anderson, St. Joseph Catholic Church, Temple Beth Israel in Redding, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Unity in Redding. Associated Organizations include Humanist Peace Society, Local Indians for Education (LIFE), Books that Cross Borders, PFLAG and Redding Voices.
