Butte Humane Society's Humane Heroes Open House

(CHICO, CA) -- It’s a bird! It’s a plane! No, it’s a HUMANE HERO. Instead of watching the superhero’s on TV, kids can finally become the superhero through Butte Humane Society’s new program, HUMANE HEROES. Join BHS Humane Heroes Open House on February 7th from 1 pm to 3 pm at BHS’s education center. Along with a family-friendly fun activity, this event will feature a lecture that will highlight HUMANE HEROES variety of tail-wagging workshops and purr-featly fun fundraisers. For each monthly hour long workshop, HUMANE HEROES will give kids the opportunity to learn more about furry friends and ways to help animals in their community while getting hands on experience with the cute and cuddly four-legged volunteers. Each discussion explores various topics ranging from animal advocacy and welfare to proper animal care and basic training skills. HUMANE HEROES will provide kid-friendly workshops as well as pawsome prizes for donations collected and fundraising. This empowering program for children is designed to boost their entrepreneurial spirit while advocating leadership and provoking change in their environment. It’s time to give the children the tools they need to make a difference in animals life. Don’t let one child miss out on this unforgettable experience as HUMANE HEROES, it would be a cat-tastrophy. For more information regarding the HUMANE HERO program or how to sign up, contact the Katrina Woodcox at Or call the Butte Humane Society at (530) 343-7917 x135.
