"Cross Cultures" Art Exhibit at SAM
2nd Saturday Art Opening & Reception Nov. 10th - Exhibit Continues through Dec. 29th
Everyone is invited to an opening reception for “Cross Cultures,” a multi-artist exhibit on Saturday, November 10 from 5-7pm.
The exhibit, curated by artists Anastasia Nelson and Phil Dynan of the Red Bluff Gallery, features the work of artists from different parts of the world, and will be on display in our Museum Space from November 10 through Saturday, December 29.
The exhibit will include Prints from the original paintings of internationally-known portrait artist Stephen Bennett, artwork by the Antonio Vasquez family of Laguna San Juan, Guatemala, imaginative drawings by Russian artist Jane Sharvina and the colorful and imaginative work by Eritrean artist, Yosief Indrias.
There will be a special surprise for those who attend the opening reception on November 10th. Dynan and Nelson are currently working with UK artist Patrick Hughes on 3D sculpture-paintings that seem to move as the viewer moves sideways or bobs up and down. One of the sculptures, featuring work by the Vasquez family, will be on display during the opening reception. Visit Phil Dynan’s website to learn more about “Art That Moves!” You will also see videos of the process of creating these sculpture-paintings. http://www.phildynan.com/galleryrow/
