Silent Auction Fundraiser
A Benefit for the Siskiyou Arts Museum and the River Exchange
The Siskiyou Arts Museum, in conjunction with the River Exchange, is hosting a silent auction fundraiser to benefit both organizations. The auction will feature donated paintings, river art from local Elementary Schools, a selection of wooden and metal fish-themed art and other items. A magnificent large fish which was carved and inlaid from a 50-yr-old redwood “boogie board” by former Dunsmuir resident, John Remington Pearman, is a one-of-a-kind, museum-quality piece of river art and the highlight of the auction!
The silent auction opens on Saturday, September 8th at 5 pm in conjunction with the opening of “The River’s Depths” exhibit which showcases the ceramic sculpture of international fisherman guide & local artist, Fred Gordon and the nature photography of John Rickard, also a sought-after fly-fishing guide. The auction will remain open until 6 pm on October 13th, which coincides with the opening art reception for Bob Nugent, an internationally-acclaimed artist, showing regularly in both Brazil and the United States. The October exhibit is entitled: “RIVER: The Upper Sacramento Watershed.”
