The Siskiyou Arts Museum in Dunsmuir will once again offer a jewelry making class with Mt. Shasta artisan, Jane Rothenberg. This class will be for all levels, including beginners and those who wish to continue from Jane’s first class that was offered this past July.
This series of 4 classes will cover basic jewelry making techniques tailored to your particular skill level: bead stringing, crimping, wrapped loops, hammered wire, etc. Students will learn about gemstone and pearl grading, tools, metals, other materials, design and more.
There will be practice time and each student should have some finished jewelry pieces by end of this 4-class series. Practice materials are furnished, but students will need to purchase or bring some of their own materials for the class. A materials list is available in the gift shop of the Siskiyou Arts Museum, and also on our website: www.SiskiyouArtsMuseum.org
The classes will be held on our lower level classroom space on four Sunday afternoons: Sept. 17 & 24; then Oct. 8 & 15, from from 12:30 – 3:30 pm (Please note that there will be no class on Sunday, Oct. 1st). The cost for all 4 classes is $75. Class size is limited, so sign up today! To register, please contact Jane Rothenberg at 530-926-3251 or via email: email@example.com (the 0’s are zeroes) Please contact Jane directly; SAM is not handling registration for these classes.
Jane has been hand-crafting jewelry for more than 12 years and has been teaching jewelry making for 5 years. SAM is proud to carry her several pieces of her beautifully-designed, high-quality jewelry in our gift shop.
