Learn about Scouts at this hands-on adventure day!
Shasta Scout-A-Rama is a collaborative outdoor event bringing together the local Scouting community, organized by both Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts. This “trade show” of Scouting will showcase troops from our local Shasta County area featuring fun filled booths with a variety of games, crafts, sporting activities and hands-on skill building like how to build a Da Vinci bridge, climbing a 25 foot rock wall and camping relay races. We’ve also invited some local vendors and public service agencies, such as Redding Fire and CHP to showcase how Scouting shaped their career paths.
Current and future Scouts will leave with their heads spinning, full of amazement and excitement the Scouting programs have to offer. New Scouts can sign-up for a Scouting Membership and get connected with a Troop. Leaders will leave Scout-A-Rama with months of activity ideas and connections with other leaders. Family members will leave happy, knowing that Scouting will make a difference in their child’s life. This event is free open to the public; geared toward youth ages 5-17, although younger siblings are welcome their participation will be limited. All hands-on activities will require a permission form signed at the event check-in table.
Local Packs, Troops, Teams, Posts and Crews can participate by hosting a Scout-O-Rama booth to highlight a specific skill or activity. Leaders can sign up their group by filling out the registration form (found on this Facebook event page) and emailing it to firstname.lastname@example.orgVisit Event Website for More Info
