2017 Autumn Exhibit - Reception
Please join us as we welcome the Artists whose work will be featured in Art in the City’s Autumn 2017 Exhibit. A Reception for the Artists will be held at Redding City Hall on Friday, September 22, 2017, from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. In addition to appetizers and refreshments, live music will be provided by the North State Songwriters.
The public is invited to meet the artists whose work will be on display this autumn at the Redding City Hall and Redding Library. The artwork featured includes paintings by Alexandra Stephens, Natalie Shaw, Gary Thomas, Ken Petranek, and Theresa Dedmon, photography by Michele James, and student submissions by Redding School of the Arts.
North State Songwriters will present a showcase of original music during the Reception. Four different acts will take the stage in the City Hall lobby. After-Thot will kick off the event at 5:00 p.m. with their ambitious acoustic tunes, followed by folk-rocker Nick Ciampi at 5:30 p.m. At 6:00 p.m. Cottonwood duo Still Married will present original acoustic songs celebrating the landscape, the characters and the independent spirit of Far Northern California. Sara Hoxie performs at 6:30 p.m.; her tunes are inspired by the rivers and mountains of Northern California.

The 2017 Autumn Exhibit will be displayed in City Hall and the Redding Library, September 7, 2017, through January 5, 2018, during normal business hours. City Hall is located at 777 Cypress Avenue and is open to the public Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., excluding holidays.
