All About Printmaking By Bridget Carson
For the month of September, the Highland Art Center will feature a fun interactive exhibit with highly skilled printmaker Bridget Carson. An artist since the moment she held her first crayon, Bridget has been on a lifelong journey of discovering her passion for art. After studying at the San Francisco Academy of Art, she put her drawing skills to work as an illustrator of both science textbooks and pharmaceutical research publications as well as training manuals for the U.S. Navy and the Dept. of Energy. Then in 1995 Bridget happened to take a printmaking class at Butte College and fell in love with the medium. Her fascination with the art of printmaking has continued to grow over the past 20 years and in this upcoming show Bridget will present a compilation of unique printmaking styles including etchings, linoleum block prints, and mono prints. Join us September 2nd from 5-8 pm at the Highland Art Center for an opening reception with the artist. Her exhibit will be on display throughout the month during normal business hours, 11 am – 5 pm Tuesday – Saturday. # # # If you would like more information about this topic, please contact Shanna Franceschini at 530-623-5111 or email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
