Presented by

Simpson University Music Department presents “Fall into Winter”, a concert featuring the Simpson University Chorale, the Trinity Repertory Singers, and the Weaverville Community Chorus. Free refreshments will be provided. The Trinity Repertory Singers is a community chorus that produces two concerts a year of major choral works by the world's greatest composers. On November 20th they will sing works by John Rutter and Johannes Brahms. The University Chorale, an all-women’s group, will perform works by Giovanni da Palestrina and Stephen Sondheim, to name a few. The three choral groups will join together to perform Cantique de Jean Racine by Gabriel Fauré. Dr. Cyril Myers is the Director of Choral Studies at Simpson University, and leads the Chorale and the Repertory Singers. He has brought an exciting sound and stellar performances during his nearly four years at Simpson University. His other concerts performed on the TAPAC stage were Mozart’s Requiem, Bach’s Magnificat, and Handel’s ‘Messiah’. Randall Walker, Director of Weaverville Community Chorus, will lead the Weaverville chorus in several Christmas carols to get the audience in the mood for the holidays.
