Bye Bye Birdie Musical
It's 1958 and Conrad Birdie is every American teenage girl's rock-n-roll heartthrob! After being drafted to go into the Army, Conrad's manager, Albert, along with his secretary - and longtime girlfriend - Rosie make plans to send him off with "One Last Kiss" with Kim McAfee of Sweet Apple, OH on the Ed Sullivan Show in a final publicity stunt to close the books on Albert's music business so that Albert and Rose can finally settle down. Albert's overbearing mother, Mae, is not so anxious to turn her sonny-boy over to his Spanish girlfriend. Comedy ensues as Kim's new steady, Hugo Peabody, plots to keep his girl from kissing Birdie and Rosie loses her patience with Albert's mama's boy tendencies. Join us for this tuneful musical romp set in the best of times!
