Redding will be welcoming one of the highest-ranking
female martial arts masters in the world this Friday! Tae Yun Kim is a 10th degree
blackbelt in Taekwondo, the founder of her own school of martial arts, and also
the founder and CEO of a global technology company in the Silicon Valley. Dr. Tae Yun Kim has won numerous distinguished
awards for her achievements and humanitarian service. She is quite the dynamic woman, having
written her own book on ‘How to Break Through to Awesome’. She will be signing her new book just outside
of Redding’s Barnes & Noble this Friday, May 11.
Her book is a story of inspiration and of her overcoming harsh circumstances. As a child, Tae Yun was abandoned by her family, ostracized and abused for being born a girl in a male-dominated society. She survived the Korean War, broke 5,000 years of tradition by being the first female to ever be trained in martial arts in Korea, and eventually came to America and worked her first job cleaning toilets at a Howard Johnson motel. Today she is the CEO of a worldwide tech company in Silicon Valley, a martial arts great grandmaster, and because of her struggles has become so much more—she is an inspiration. Tae Yun Kim shows that no matter your age, background, culture, or career, you don’t have to settle for anything less than awesome in your life. The fight is worth the struggle, and Tae Yun knows this because she lived it.
In her book she says, “If I can overcome all obstacles and rise to become one of the highest-ranked 10th degree blackbelts in the world and create a global technology company—you can too! Here’s how!” She reveals how you, too, can apply the secrets she teaches to break through every barrier to your own personal and professional goals. Her hard-earned experience along with wisdom rooted in ancient martial arts tradition is the perfect combination to get you to rethink what is possible.
Dr. Kim will be signing her book, “Seven Steps to Inner Power: How to Break Through to Awesome” at Barnes & Noble (1260 Churn Creek Rd., Redding, CA) Friday, May 11th from 6 – 8 p.m.
